Chandan Pandey Spoke at the 57th OSA Convention in Minneapolis
Chandan Pandey spoke at the 57th OSA Convention in Minneapolis over the July 4 weekend, July 2 to 4. OSA is the Odisha Society of the Americas, and this year the convention ran under the theme "Milana Taranga: Tides of Harmony".
He took the podium once and joined a panel later in the programme. Both sessions came back to the same question: what the people who left Odisha for careers abroad are actually building now, and where that work gets done.
Two companies, one bridge
The convention souvenir ran a feature on Iseyon Analytics and Lancet Software India under the headline "Building India-America's Data Corridor". Chandan founded Iseyon and is Managing Director of Lancet, so the two companies sit either side of the same bridge: client-facing consulting in the United States, engineering and delivery in India.
The part of that arrangement worth saying out loud is Rourkela. Lancet runs a second development office there, in Odisha, where it hires graduates and puts them through an in-house programme in business intelligence and AI before they ever join a client team. For a room largely made up of people who left Odisha to build careers elsewhere, a pipeline that keeps the engineering in Odisha is a different kind of answer.
The argument he made
The feature quoted him on why analytics keeps failing the people who most need it:
The analytics platform might as well be behind glass, you can see the value, you just can't touch it.
That is the problem xFalcon was built to solve, and the souvenir gave it the facing page under the headline "A System That Learns, Remembers, Improves." The framing there was not a better dashboard but a different kind of system: one built around organizational memory instead of around a question that starts from nothing every time it is asked.
When those people leave, the company gets amnesia. We're building a system that remembers.
Why this one matters to us
Iseyon has people in Minnesota and people in Rourkela. This convention is one of the few rooms where both halves of the company are in the same place, which makes it less an outreach exercise than a reunion.
